“I have had low back pain for 15+ years that started with an impact injury and fracture before cascading into pain throughout the left side of my body. The cascade of injuries, limitations, and surgeries left me feeling pretty hopeless to change my pain cycles. It was like I was on an endless treadmill of pain, recovery, repeat with no lasting change.
Right from the start, I had hope for a different result: Brent has an exceptional eye for detail and passion for his patients. He kept surprising me with how quickly and clearly he could pin-point my pain and describe moments or tasks in my day that likely intensified that pain. His initial eval was far more thorough and instantly helpful without hooking me on a baloney treatment plan.
Since working with Brent, I’m constantly reclaiming activities from that list. The best part for me is I’m comfortable running, coaching, and kicking a soccer ball with my kids again.
If you’re looking for a reason to call Brent, you’ll find Brent thoroughly prepared, trained and trustworthy, and light-years better than any practitioner you’ve worked with yet.”

“I had back pain for a solid 6 years before working with Brent. It started as tingling down both of my legs and then slowly evolved into pain in my upper glutes after certain physical activity. I often sat and asked myself, “Am I just going to have this back pain for the rest of my life?”
Brent was extremely thorough — an order of magnitude more than any practitioner that I have ever worked with. Starting off with the interview, which was not utilized by any prior practitioner, gave Brent insight into my whole person, which gives rise to a better patient-clinician relationship and subsequently better outcomes. He also looked at my whole body, and how it worked together as a unit, to understand the upstream and downstream causes of my back pain.
Brent is an athlete and a practitioner, and he is thoroughly knowledgeable on many things; physical fitness and especially back pain. Being an athlete is important to me, because I like to work out and practice my hobby, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Many practitioners I had seen in the past gave me “solutions” that did not resonate with me and made me lose confidence in the practitioner.”

“I suffered from back pain for over a decade, but what brought me to Brent was numbness in my legs after longer walks or standing for long periods. As a teacher, an active sailor, skier, and golfer, I could not avoid walking and standing. Multiple back specialists and physical therapists saw me, and I was not getting any long-term relief.
In the first session, Brent did something none of the medical professionals or physical therapists had done in my other appointments. He assessed my spine in motion. I had always had normal results from MRIs and X-rays, but when Brent manipulated my spine and had me move around, he was able to identify the problem relatively quickly.
Over the last year, I have seen steady progress. I have been able to walk for over 30 minutes without symptoms regularly; 6 months ago I could barely go 7 or 8 minutes before my legs would go numb. All this progress has made my life more like it was before all this started happening. I have been able to get out, do the things that bring me joy, and spend more time with my spouse without anxiety and fear of my legs going numb, or being in pain.
I would highly recommend Brent’s program. He sees each person as an individual. My experiences with the medical community left me feeling like a number. My treatment felt generic. You will never be a number with Brent.
It will be an investment upfront but will pay dividends and save you time and pain for the rest of your life.”

“I came to Brent at Pain to Performance as a 42 year old with a chronic lower back injury. I was a career firefighter and in the landscape industry. With a lifetime of abuse on my body it had finally came to a halt. I had an MRI and X-rays which lead down the road of injections, chiropractic therapy, physical therapy, massage, stretching, and other various intermittent cures. On my last effort before surgery I met with Brent. He took the time to perform a through examination, assessment, and explain things to me that no practitioner had in the past. There was never a time I felt pressured or was fed false hope just the facts. Over the next few months Brent monitored and coached me in a detailed manner. I am currently continuing with the program and resumed a normal active lifestyle that was not possible before.”

“I have been a student of Brent Morehouse for several years. I am a rower who started this sport later in life and I was referred to Brent for strength and conditioning by a former rowing coach. A few years ago, a low back pain issue became so severe that I was unable to continue to train or row. I was in some degree of pain basically 24-7. Brent’s evaluation was thorough and he diagnosed where my pain was originating from. It is noteworthy here to mention that his diagnosis mirrored the x-rays ordered by my PCP. He was spot on. He basically re-taught me how to move to eliminate my pain triggers. My ‘training’ became rehab that targeted my movement, and focused on strengthening my core. His methods helped me more than any PT or Chiropractor ever did. By trusting the process, I was able to safely return to rowing and I now have the tools to help me avoid injury both on and off the water. If you have struggled with managing low back pain and it has affected your quality of life or ability to do the things you once loved, spending some time with Brent could change your life.”

“I felt seen and cared for, I was treated as an individual with a specific and unique problem who required a tailored approach. That’s how Brent treats all of his clients. It’s not a big practice focused on the number of patients seen, textbook diagnoses or cookie-cutter treatment plans.
His evaluation is thorough and thoughtful, and includes listening, explanations and compassion. You walk away—and you do walk away—understanding what’s wrong, how it can be fixed and what’s expected of you if you want to achieve success.
I’m able to do everything I did prior to my injury, in fact, I think I’m stronger in some ways. I only relapse when I skip my exercises or fall into bad habits. When I incorporate the skills Brent has taught me, I feel great. I highly recommend Pain to Performance!”
