Testimonials for Dr. Ed Cambridge

Patient Testimonials

“It was great to see you on Friday, Ed.

When I stumbled across Dr. McGill and The Back Mechanic, I was going through one of my toughest bouts of back pain. I’ve been to multiple professionals, but it was not until I read the book and met you that I truly felt I could take control of my back pain.

The book made so much sense to me. It turned the mysteries of my back into a clear picture. As a naturally inquisitive person, I loved the explanations provided and it prompted me to book an appointment with you.

The meeting with you was, by far, was the best medical experience I ever had. It started with you clearly asking me what you could help me with and you focused exactly on that for the entire meeting. The extensive details about my back history gave you a better understanding to assess me and you kept me informed every step of the way while coming up with a cohesive game plan.

Gone are my feelings of helplessness. You’ve given me a fantastic roadmap, but more importantly, a sense that I am the one empowered. This is a breath of fresh air compared to other doctors. It is a tough challenge, but now I am motivated to take the steps.

From my family and me, we thank you and Dr. McGill for having my back.

“I want to thank you. It’s been several years since the last time I saw you and my lower back still feels great. You have a wealth of knowledge and experience but the one thing that truly set you apart is the 4 hours you spent with me on the initial assessment. It allowed you to get to the root of the problem and design a plan to make things better. A four hour assessment may seem long but it’s way less time consuming than recurring appointments with other doctors who temporarily relieved symptoms (sometimes) and did nothing to resolve the underlying problem.

For someone who had been dealing with chronic back pain, those 4 hours are one of the best time investments I’ve ever made.”

I am happy to report to you that I won two gold medals this year at the United Healthcare US Open Racquetball Championships in Minneapolis October 2-6, 2019. For the past seven years at the US Open, I have won various Bronze and Silver medals. However, this year (2019) I captured two Gold medals, one in Men’s 65+ B/C and the other in Men’s 55+ C.

These wins happened by an intense focus on strategic parts of the game with matching skill development where I received coaching from Steve Strandemo, a former world-class professional. Equally important is the help I continue to get from the McGill approach to lumbar stabilization/rehab and athletic development as presented by Dr. Ed Cambridge in private consultation. Because of this coaching, I was more resistant to accumulated damage through the 2019 US Open week than in any previous year, and interestingly, saw that almost every opponent 55+ and 65+ was managing some kind of injury profile.

The gold medals mean a lot to me, and I believe your work focussed the resilience and athleticism that made it possible.

Super thanks Ed!

6 months of extreme sciatic nerve pain from a confirmed L4-L5 extruded herniation (MRI). Flare up after flare up, physiotherpy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, Pain killers, narcotics and finally a referral to a pain clinic…I found Dr. Cambridge through the Back Fit Pro website and got an appointment. I read the Back Mechanic cover to cover. My appointment with Dr. Cambridge was 3 hours long. It was the most educational experience on my back I have ever had. I left with a positive outlook, a complete understanding of my lumbar spine, a LumbAir cushion (an absolute MUST) and an 8 week exercise program. 2 1/2 weeks in to doing exactly as I was told and my pain was almost non-existent. I’m currently 6 weeks into the program and I do not take ANY pain medication.
I’m not going to lie, it is a lot of work. You have to put the time in. But if you are in as much pain as I was, you’d do anything to be pain free. My life has changed because of Dr. Cambridge and the Back Fit Pro. If you’re not ready to book an appointment, spend 35 bucks and read The Back Mechanic to learn what it is all about. No gimmicks, just real evidence based movements.

Teaching Testimonials

Dr Cambridge blew me away with his knowledge, teaching skills and humor. Great skill development together with evidence to back it up.

Have been to several McGill methods courses, first time with Dr. Cambridge and he exceeded expectations.

Dr Cambridge was truly an expert in the subject area. The information he presented was unbiased, and I felt this over and over again, he was objective, fact based and data driven which I truly appreciated.. He was a confident presenter but not an egotistical one. I also really appreciated his willingness to take the time to answer questions. I have been to other seminars where there are many questions but the presenter has not allotted any time for them and you leave with them unanswered. When Ed took the time to answer questions you really felt like you understood the material completely. He was not afraid to say “I don’t know” when appropriate.

Dr Ed Cambridge is very technical and very patience to explain everything.

He was knowledgeable, interesting and enjoyable to listen to.

Excellent grasp of the material.
